Library science degree, about nine years on the reference desk at a branch library. Runs a monthly book group out of the library and a separate weekly-ish game night with the same small group of friends. Has a nephew who shows up occasionally in the game reviews. Reads across genre and dense nonfiction with no real system beyond whatever's next in the hold queue.

I work the reference desk at a branch library in Bloomington, Indiana, which means I spend my days pointing other people toward the right book and my evenings finally reading my own pile. I've been doing this for about nine years now, long enough that I've stopped pretending I'll ever catch up on my own to-read shelf. I run a small book group out of the library on the second Tuesday of most months, and a separate game night with the same rotating four or five people most other weeks. Both of those groups show up in what I write here more than I probably realize.
